Highlights of the Nissan Exhibit
at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show




TOKYO (October 10, 2007) - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., will present four show vehicles that incorporate new and exciting ideas for future models at the upcoming 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. The four concept cars include the “Pivo 2,” which presents a new connection between car and driver, with an “always enjoyable, everywhere convenient” state-of-mind; and “Round Box,” a youth-oriented compact convertible that provides occupants with a unique sensation of speed and exhilaration.Nissan’s Tokyo Motor Show exhibit is built around three message pillars that represent the company’s direction: “Friendly Innovation,” “Passionate Driving” and “Emotive Design.” As demonstrated through the features of each concept car, “Friendly Innovation” provides a new relationship between the car and driver; “Passionate Driving,” one of Nissan’s long-standing strengths, brings new levels of driving pleasure and excitement; while “Emotive Design” strongly appeals to consumers’ visual sensibilities.

Toyota to Display Sustainability Concepts at Tokyo Show Tokyo — TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) announced today that it plans to exhibit eight concept and 13 other vehicles at the 40th Tokyo Motor Show* under the theme: “Harmonious Drive—a New Tomorrow for People and the Planet”.
In keeping with its tradition of highlighting new, automotive possibilities at the Tokyo Motor Show in the form of a wide variety of concept vehicles and groundbreaking technologies, TMC’s exhibit, this time as well, is meant to provide new proposals for the automobile. TOKYO (AFP) — US auto giant Ford and its Japanese partner Mazda said Tuesday they will develop a 500 million-dollar plant to build passenger cars in Thailand, eyeing the growing market in Southeast Asia.
The plant is expected to be operational in 2009 and create 8,000 jobs, 2,000 of them directly and the rest through suppliers and related businesses, Mazda Motor Corp. said in a statement.
