Mazda Furai Concept and New Mazda RX-8 to Make World Debut at 2008 North American International Auto Show

HIROSHIMA, Japan, December 12, 2007—Mazda Motor Corporation will showcase the world premieres of the Mazda Furai concept vehicle and the heavily revised new Mazda RX-8 sports car at the 2008 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), to be held in Detroit from Sunday, January 13 through Sunday, January 27, 2008. On the heels of its show-stopping debut at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show in October, the Mazda Taiki concept vehicle also will make its North American debut, the first time it has been shown outside Japan. Additionally, Mazda will have a special display of racecars on its stand during the press days, and the full lineup of production cars for consumers to sample on the public days.

All attending media are invited to the company’s formal unveiling on the Mazda show stand, scheduled at 13:45 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2008.

HIROSHIMA, Japan, November 19, 2007—Mazda Motor Corporation has announced that it reveal the all-new Mazda2 (known as Mazda Demio in Japan) sedan to the public at the 2007 Guangzhou Motor Show on November 20, 2007.

At a press conference in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, China, the media were treated to a sneak preview of the all-new Mazda2 sedan. This version of Mazda’s latest model has a dynamic and elegant form that was designed to capture new customers in the rapidly growing Chinese B-car segment. The all-new Mazda2 sedan is produced by Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. at its Nanjing plant, and will go on sale in the first half of 2008 through the Changan Mazda Motor Sales Company’s network.

Mazda Launches Global Customer Magazine, Zoom-Zoom

 

Hiroshima, Japan, Oct 18, 2007 - (JCN Newswire) - Mazda Motor Corporation has announced the launch of Zoom-Zoom, a new magazine for Mazda customers worldwide. The publication is produced in five languages and is being distributed to eight countries from late September through the end of October 2007. In late October, Zoom-Zoom magazine will be launched in stages to dealers in Japan to be enjoyed by customers who are waiting for vehicle servicing or other appointments.

Zoom-Zoom magazine introduces articles that describe the exhilaration of driving a Mazda vehicle and the active lifestyle that many Mazda owners lead. The magazine covers a wide range of topics to bring the spirit of the Mazda brand closer to readers, with some content on Mazda products and news along with stories about Mazda’s people. Each issue has a section with several pages dedicated to pictures of Zoom-Zoom moments which are submitted by owners. Zoom-Zoom magazine is published three times per year and is aimed at facilitating a deeper connection between Mazda and its customers.

Chang’an Ford Mazda Automobile Nanjing Plant to Operate

NANJING, Oct 16, 2007 (SinoCast China Transportation Watch via COMTEX) — F | charts | news | PowerRating — Chang’an Ford Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd., Ford Motor Company’s joint venture in China, finished building its Nanjing plant and will bring the new factory into massive production from October 30.

With an investment of USD 510 million, the new plant is located in Nanjing, the capital city of eastern China’s Jiangsu Province, and will have an annual production capacity of 160,000 units during the initial operations.
